Welcome to the Wilkes Family YMCA Aquatics Pages. Here you can obtain information on swim lessons, water fitness classes and review our policies and procedures related to the Wilkes Family YMCA pool. Please click on any of the links to the left to make a selection.

 

We have two pools, outdoor water park, hot tub, steam room and sauna. Please check out the "Rules and proper Attire" portion of our site for guidelines on our hot tube, steam room and sauna.

 

Lap Pool

Length: 25 yards (36 laps equals a mile)

Depth: 3 1/2 feet - Shallow end; 9 1/2 feet - Deep end

Lap Lanes: 6 (3 are available to lap swimmers and 3 for recreation swimmers)

Temperature: 83 degrees

Other Info: A swim lift is available for those needing assistance in and out of the pool.

 

Sunshine Pool

Length: 13 yards

Depth: 3 1/2 feet on both ends, 4 1/2 feet in the middle

Temperature: 89 degrees

Other Info: For therapy and exercise use we have a metal bar that extends down two sides of our pool. A swim lift is available for those needing assistance in and out of the pool.

 

Water Park

The water park is open to all to enjoy fun in the sun. At 18 inches deep, it's perfect for wading and playing in the various water activities. It's open—Memorial Day to Labor Day.
