SCHOOL DELAYS
If school openings are delayed, the YMCA After-School program does not provide before-school care.

EARLY DISMISSALS
If school is dismissed early because of snow or ice, after-school care will be offered at the YMCA until 6:00 p.m. Parents are responsible for getting their children to the YMCA. To ensure your child’s safety, we will not transport children on these days. No YMCA staff will be on site to provide care at a school where the children have been dismissed early except if school was dismissed 30 minutes early. There is no additional fee for care on these days.

SCHOOLS CLOSED DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER
If schools are closed for the entire day, the YMCA offers a child care program at the Wilkes Family YMCA from 8:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. Please take them to the far side of the gym for sign-in and drop-off. There is no additional fee for these days. Children should bring a lunch and drink that does not require refrigeration or heating. Children should bring a swimsuit and towel only if it is a Wednesday or a Friday.

In the event of extreme weather, power outages or YMCA facility closures or delayed openings, child care program schedules may be altered or cancelled.
